How to Organize Magazines

Sort through the magazines that you have and divide them up into the kind that they are , all Mothering Magazines together, all Time Magazines together, etc. Then sort these piles in chronicalogical order by the issue date. To save space remove any magazines that you no longer want or know that you no longer will read them. You can donate magazines to your local library or thrift shore or recycle them.

Label your organizers so you will know exactly what kind of magazines go there. Periodically when your organizers are looking a little too full see if there are any issues that you want to part with.

To save room you can just keep the articles and clipping of magazine that you like and place them in clear sheets and in a binder. This way you are only keeping the the pages that you want and would be reading anyway. Disecting a magazine and even newspaper of only the things you want to keep and read is a great way to save a lot of space.

You can keep the current issue of a magazine in their own spot, as they most likely will be the ones that you are reading the most, like a basket by your chair or bed or on your coffee table. Then when the new issue comes in you can store the previous magazine in an organizer or pass it on if you know it is not one you want to keep.
